Meet Eric, Our Shipping Monkey

If you’ve ever ordered something big, bulky, or a little fragile from Hatcher’s Collectibles, there’s a good chance Eric had a hand in getting it ready.

Eric is our shipping monkey — and yes, he’s as charming as he sounds. He’s polite, easy to like, and somehow always calm when the shop is buzzing. Around here, that counts for a lot.

The careful packer

Eric doesn’t wrap every single order. He’s selective on purpose. Soft, simple packs can sail through on their own. Eric steps in when something needs extra care: the hard, bulky pieces that deserve a little more protection before they leave the nest. If it’s awkward to box, easy to scuff, or just needs a softer landing, Eric’s the one who makes sure it’s snug, secure, and ready for the road.

The organization master

Shipping is only half the story. Keeping this many pins, protectors, and collectibles findable is its own adventure — and Eric is a master at it. When the shelves get full and the bins multiply, he’s the one who knows where everything lives. Ask for something half-buried in a sea of goodies, and Eric will dig it up with a smile.

Convention season (California edition)

Eric also shines on the show floor. We stick to California conventions, and he’s part of the crew for the big ones: SDCC, WonderCon, LACC, and anime conventions, plus D23 every other year.

His main role at cons? Pre-orders and pickups. Made an inquiry about an item and it landed on our pickup list? Eric’s the one who helps make sure it actually finds you — from a busy show floor all the way to your door, safe and sound. That care has included bringing along the extras that matter, like card protectors, Funko protectors, and whatever else keeps your haul looking as good as the day you claimed it.
